Nagpur :- In the days of utilitarian Modem Society, Organization like Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal-is a rarity. It is an unique organization which propogates “Yog’ as a way of life or culture in the society for Contentment, Health and Happiness of every soul by imparting training in Yog to one and all irrespective of Caste, creed, religion, totally free of cost.
According to the ideologies of Yogmurti P.P. Janardanaswami, the founder of Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal and the source of inspiration & Principal Guiding force of the organization, various free workshops are conducted for the promotion of yog, such as yog classes for wellness, yog therapy, classes for students at schools & colleges,, intellectual development classes for students in grades 9 to 12, Certification courses, Yog sammelans, sale of books at very low cost, print a monthly magazine Yogprakash etc. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the World Yoga Day is being celebrated on June 21st with great enthusiasm everywhere around the world, including at Janardanaswami Yogyabhasi Mandal with the cooperation of the Municipal Corporation in Nagpur, with participation of above 15,000 Nagpurians in it.
Since 1992, the Inter-school Yogasan Competition is being conducted by our Mandal to instill patience, concentration, and courage among students. In the year 2013, 2018 & 2020 students in large numbers from over 100 schools across Nagpur participated in the competitions. This year 11,000 approximately students. from 70 schools across Nagpur are participating in the event on 17th February 2024 at Yashwant Stadium, Dantoli, Nagpur, from 7 am. The competition is in the memory of Late Bhanutai Gadkari, the disciple of Shri Janardanswami and mother of Nitin Gadkari.
On 17th February 2024, for “Late Smt. Bhanutai Gadkari Inter-school Yogasan Competition” Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways of India is expected as chief guest in the competition. Kanchan Gadkari also will have her gracious presence at the event.
The competition will see the participation of NMC schools, CBSE schools, and 3 special schools for disabled children. Participating schools will be presented with substantial prizes. Adequate arrangements have been made by Yogabhyasi Mandal in the schools to train students for the competition through its expert teachers.
Citizens of Nagpur are requested to be a part of this program, which aims to offer Yog as lifestyle to the school children so as to shape their lives, thereby brightening and strengthening the future of the country..
