Nagpur :- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced comprehensive measures to address the recent incidents in Beed and Parbhani districts, emphasizing zero tolerance for criminal activities. Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister ordered dual investigations and announced compensation for the victims’ families.
Key Actions Announced :
1. Investigation and Legal Action:
– Dual probe ordered for Beed incident:
• Judicial inquiry
• Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigation
– MCOCA to be imposed against perpetrators
– Strict action against land mafia and sand mafia
– Transfer of District Superintendent of Police, Beed
– Judicial inquiry ordered for Parbhani incident
2. Compensation and Support :
– Rs. 10 lakh assistance for families of deceased:
• Late Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh (Beed incident)
• Late Somnath Suryavanshi (Parbhani incident)
3. Administrative Measures :
– Suspension of Police Officer Ashok Ghorband in Parbhani case
– Investigation into excessive use of police force
– Comprehensive action plan against organized crime in Beed
Addressing Parbhani Situation :
The Chief Minister clarified that the Parbhani incident was unfortunate and involved a mentally ill person, as confirmed by medical reports. He emphasized that any disrespect to the Constitution would not be tolerated. The all-party morcha in Parbhani was related to concerns about Hindus in Bangladesh and should not be misinterpreted as a Hindu-Dalit conflict.
Beed District Action Plan :
“We are launching a comprehensive campaign to curb criminal activities in Beed,” stated CM Fadnavis. He highlighted concerns regarding the Awada Green Energy Company investments and addressed attempts at extortion. “The masterminds behind these criminal activities will face MCOCA charges, regardless of their position or influence,” he affirmed.
Property Damage Assessment :
The Chief Minister noted significant damage to shops, vehicles, and government offices in Parbhani, assuring appropriate action.
