Nagpur :- To build scientific inquiry and ingenuity by enhancing curiosity, creativity, and discovery through hands-on projects and innovations amongst the students, Delhi Public School MIHAN hosted a spectacular Inter School Competition AURORA 3.0 on the theme – ‘Promoting STEAM’ that aimed to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics disciplines wherein the participants of various prestigious schools of Nagpur showcased their exceptional creative ideas and innovations.
Principal Nidhi Yadav in her Welcome Address accorded a warm welcome to the judges, mentor teachers, and talented participants and thanked the President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Tulika Kedia for her futuristic vision of providing international standards facilities for developing a scientific temperament in the students. She also appreciated Ms. Savita Jaiswal,Director DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road for her meticulous guidance and support for the holistic development of students. Karthik Raghunathan Principal Scientist, NEERI, and Dr. Sorokhaibam Laxmi Gayatri, Assistant Professor VNIT Nagpur graced the occasion as guests as well as served as judges for the events and congratulated the school for providing an excellent platform for the budding scientists to explore their scientific inquiry and research. In their address, they highlighted the need to develop critical thinking and innovative ideas amongst the students for the development of society.
In this exciting journey of innovation, creativity, and STEAM excellence captivating events like Innovation Ambassador which focuses on presenting exceptional ideas based on scientific principles, Persona Plus showcasing scientists who contributed to society, Toy Fair which aims at creating innovative toys, Mini -Comic integrating Art and storytelling and Trashion -Fashion that aims to redefine fashion to promote sustainability helped the young scientists and creative minds to present their talents to their best.
The prize winners in all categories were awarded with medals and certificates. President and Pro Vice-Chairperson Tulika Kedia and the Director Savita Jaiswal appreciated the efforts of the Principal and all the in-charges for their untiring efforts in conducting a successful edition of AURORA 3.0.
