Nagpur :- A commendable effort by Woman Constable Kavita Kupale of Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has resulted in the rescue and protection of an abandoned child under “Operation Nanhe Farishtey.”
*Incident Details:*
On 29th January 2025, while on duty at Platform No. 01, Woman Constable Kavita Kupale noticed a child wandering in a deserted condition near the bridge on the Itarsi side at approximately 19:50. She immediately informed SIPF Anuradha Meshram, and the child was brought to the RPF Post Nagpur.
*Collaboration with Childline Representatives:*
The Childline representative, Vicky Dahare, was contacted for further assistance. Upon empathetic questioning, the child identified himself as Kokwa Sobra, aged 12, and stated that he was from Nagpur Railway Station, Maharashtra.
*Ensuring Safety and Care:*
To ensure the child’s safety, Woman Constable Kavita Kupale, along with the Childline representative, arranged for a health checkup and sent the child to a shelter home for further care and protection.
