Maharashtra Governor presents Parmarth Ratna Awards to Stalwarts in Cancer Care

Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the ‘Parmarth Ratna’ Awards for the year 2022 to the Director of Tata Memorial Hospital Dr. Rajendra Badwe and Deputy Director Dr. Shailesh Shrikhande at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Mon (17 Oct). The awards were presented to the two stalwarts in recognition of their excellence in cancer surgery, research and management at the ‘Diwali Sneh Sammelan’ organised by the Parmarth Seva Samiti.

The Governor also presented the ‘Parmarth Khel Ratna Award to Avinash Sable, the Silver medallist in the 3000 metre steeplechase event at the Commonwealth Games 2022. The Committee announced extending financial support to the Tata Memorial Hospital for the construction of a dedicated Chemotherapy Centre at a cost of Rs.50 crore.

Director of the Birla Group Rajashree Birla, Chairman of the Parmarth Seva Samiti Laxminarayan Biyani, President Manmohan Goenka, Mahila Samiti President Sharda Bubna and Master of Ceremony Anil Trivedi were present.
