New Delhi :- Every district head in the state should visit all government hospitals, municipal corporation and municipal hospitals, primary health centers, and authorized hospitals of medical colleges in their district immediately, and submit a report on the current situation. This order was given by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who arrived in New Delhi this morning for important meetings, interacted with all district heads in the state and took stock of the health facilities. The meeting, conducted via video conference from New Delhi, was attended by Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Health Department Milind Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department Dinesh Waghmare, along with senior officials from the health and medical education departments, and all district heads.

For the investigation of deaths that occurred in hospitals in Nanded and Ghat, a state-level committee has been formed, and strict action will be taken against the culprits, Shinde indicated. District heads have also been given the authority for drug procurement. Therefore, there will be no delay in drug procurement, and the Chief Minister has also given instructions to ensure this.

The state government gives top priority to the health system. The state government is working on preparing short-term and long-term plans for strengthening the health system, and there will be no shortage of funds for its implementation, Shinde assured. District heads should take responsibility for the health system in their district, visit various government hospitals daily, and promptly address any issues, as directed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Departmental commissioners, district heads, hospital administrators, and district surgeons should work as a team for health administration. If there are demands for necessary funds and additional resources, they should be provided immediately. If there is a shortage of manpower, there is also a provision for outsourcing at the district level. Therefore, if there are delays in providing quality health facilities to the people of the state due to lack of resources, or manpower shortage, the concerned will be held responsible and action will be taken, Shinde indicated.

There is a state-level dashboard for drug availability, and all hospitals should make effective use of it so that necessary drugs can be procured promptly, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also mentioned.
