Mumbai : On the 65th Mahaparinirvana Day of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister for Social Justice and Special Assistance Dhananjay Munde offered a wreath to Babasaheb Ambedkar and paid tribute.
A government function was organized at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar to greet the Mahamanav Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, Mumbai City Guardian Minister Aslam Sheikh, Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray, Minister of State Sanjay Bansode, MP Rahul Shewale, Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nangre-Patil also paid floral tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, during the programme On this occasion, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has published a book of Mumbai Municipal Corporation named ‘Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Ani Mahatvachi Sthale (Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and important places).
Paintings of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and the book ‘Indian Constitution’ were given as gifts to the present dignitaries. Nagsen Kambale conducted the programme.
