Nagpur :- Sports isn’t just a good way to keep students healthy, but it also has psychological benefits and teaches them important life skills too. Sports help students to develop better ways to cope with the highs and lows of life. When they participate in sports, sometimes
they will win, while at other times they will lose.
Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur organised Annual Sports Day for the students of Nursery on 14th February, 2023 to keep them interested in sports and make it a positive experience for them. We at DPS focus on having fun and being active,rather than winning or losing.
The event started at 9:30 a.m. with a formal welcome extended to the esteemed dignitaries and parents by the Principal, Ritu Sharma. In her welcome address, she emphasised the importance of sports in a student’s life and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in the event.
The students looked smart in their sports costumes. The sporting extravaganza
commenced with a variety of races in which the students participated in various races like Hoola Hoop Race, Peppa Pig Race, Chhota Bheem Race, Fairy Race and many more. The parents wholeheartedly cheered as the students competed with their peers.
The parents also participated in Tug of War and Musical Chair. A spectacular Rainbow Drill was presented by the students that left the audience spellbound. The young achievers were awarded medals and certificates by the Principal. A pleasing smile of joy and contentment on the faces of students and parents spoke volumes about the success of the event.
