– Chief Minister Eknath Shinde offers his prayers to Lord Ganesh
Mumbai :- On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde welcomed Lord Ganesh at his official residence Varsha in south Mumbai along with his wife.The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Ganesh for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
Like every year, this year too, Lord Ganesh has arrived at the Chief Minister’s residence ‘Varsha’ bungalow. While conducting a “puja” on this auspicious occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his wife Mrs. Lata Shinde, his Son Lok Sabha member Dr. Shrikant Shinde, daughter-in-Law Vrushali Shinde, grandson of Rudransh were present.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also gave best wishes to the people of the state for Ganesh Chaturthi festival. He said that Lord Ganesh has arrived. “May happiness, contentment, prosperity come in your life, may everyone get wisdom. Every Ganoshotsav (Ganesh Chaturthi) brings a new energy, inspiration and enthusiasm. An auspicious and holy atmosphere is created everywhere. The great culture of Maharashtra is seen through Ganeshotsav. The whole world is paying attention to Maharashtra. During this period, the enthusiasm of the Marathi people are seen not only in Maharashtra, but also in the country and abroad,” said the Chief Minister.
He also said that this government is of farmers and labourers. This year, there has been good rain everywhere in the state. As a result, there is enthusiasm among the farmers. In some places, crops have been damaged due to heavy rains. The government is firmly standing behind the farmers to support them during this tough time. Farmers will be provided all possible assistance.
Appealing to the people, the Chief Minister said that while doing seva (service) emotionally to Lord Ganesh, all of us should be aware of our social commitment. We should reach out to the needy people. We should extend a helping hand to them. “Let’s try to reach them with education, health services and various types of services and assistance. We also need to take care of the environment. Our festivals are complementary to nature,” he said. The Chief Minister urged the people to celebrate festivals in such a manner so that nature will be preserved.
He said that the state government has launched many good public welfare schemes, which are being appreciated at the national level. The government is providing support to empower all sections including farmers, youth, women of the society at all levels.
The Chief Minister also said that “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” is proving to be a revolutionary scheme in the lives of sisters in the state. “We are also being blessed by these sisters. Foreign investment is coming to the state on a large scale. Maharashtra will have a share of one trillion dollars in the five trillion dollar economy of the country,” he said.
The Chief Minister also asserted that with the grace of Lord Ganesh, they would implement even better schemes for the poor, weak and needy people of the state.
