Maharashtra Governor distributes Wheelchairs to Divyang children

Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais distributed Wheel Chairs to divyang children and youths at a programme organised by Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust in Mumbai on Sat (9 Mar). The programme was organised by the Trust in association with the All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AIIPMR) at the campus of AIIPMR at Haji Ali, Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion Governor Bais said observance of traffic rules will help reduce the fatal accidents in the country that affects the mobility of a large number of persons. He expressed the need to strengthen institutions like All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to cope up with the rising number of the elderly people in the country.

President of the Trust and well known Neurosurgeon Dr P S Ramani, Director of AIIPMR Dr Anil Kumar Gaur, Trustee of Shanta Siddhi Charitable Trust Dr Tushar Rege, Honorary Secretary Bhushan Jack, Head of Medical Social Work Wing Dr Anjana Negalur and officials and invitees were present.
