Nagpur :- On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and Ram Navami from North Nagpur area, Ram Janmotsav procession has been organized on a grand scale from 325 years old Shri Shiv Temple, Bellishop Railway Colony on 17th April at 5.00 pm. The procession is being organized under the joint auspices of the ancient Shri Shiv Temple and the Shobhayatra Utsav Committee. This is the 22nd year of the procession.
Under various religious programs, Maha Ashtami Havan and Kanya Puja were performed on the occasion of Ashtami on Tuesday, 16th April. On Wednesday, on the occasion of Ramnavami, there will be a group recitation of Sunderkand at 10.00 am and Ramjanam Utsav and Bandhaiyan at 12.00 pm and then in the afternoon. A grand procession will be taken out at 5.00 pm.
On this occasion, the chief guest was Dr. Nitin Raut, MLA of North Nagpur assembly constituency, Dr. Vilas Dangre, famous doctor of homeopathy and president of Narkesari Prakashan,
GNI Managing Director of the organization Navnit singh Tuli, former corporator Sandeep Sahare, Chandrakat Anekar, Deepak Agency and Executive President of Zero Mile Foundation Deepak Lalwani, Andhra Association Secretary P.S.N. Giving detailed information about the procession, P. Vijayakumar, member of the procession organizing committee, said that such an event is being organized for the 22nd time in North Nagpur. There will be girls and women carrying Kalash in the procession. This year Ramji’s chariot will be the center of attraction in the procession. Lord Ram’s chariot will be decorated with flowers. Little girls will walk together performing Garba dance and Lejhim. Band and drums will also be present. Live tableaux have been included in the procession. Various groups of bhajan group will also move along.
The special attraction of the procession will be the live dance of Mata Kali and the live dance of Lord Shiva. The entire route will be decorated with rangolis by women to welcome the procession.
To make the program successful, all the officials of the organizing committee and the youth workers along with the citizens of the area are making tireless efforts. The Utsav Committee has appealed to participate in this festival and receive the sacred offerings.
Before this, Navratri festival has been going on in the temple premises for the last nine days. Around 225 Manokamana Ankhad Jyots have been lit by the devotees in the temple. During this period, images of Mother Goddess were presented by many women’s groups. Worship will be held on the last day of Navratri on 19th April at 8.00 am. From 9.30 am to 1 pm, there will be main Ghatvisarjan along with Manokamna Akhand Jyot and on the occasion of Ram-Janaki marriage, Ramji’s procession will be taken out with great pomp from Nagmandir Belisahap at 6.30 pm. Ram-Janaki marriage will take place at 7 pm. After that there will be Patabhishek and Mahaprasad.
On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on 23rd April, there will be consecration of Hanumanji at 6.00 am and group recitation of Sunderkand from 10.00 am.
