Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais today advised vice chancellors of state universities to declare the results of various examinations within the stipulated time limit of 45 days. Noting that the future of students is directly linked to the declaration of results, the Governor cautioned that vice chancellors will be held accountable for the delay in declaration of results and dispensation of marksheets.
The Governor was addressing the meeting of Vice Chancellors of traditional, agricultural, health sciences, technological and open universities at Raj Bhavan Mumbai. The meeting was organised to review the progress of the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 from the forthcoming academic year 2023-2024.
Stating that less than 2 months are left for the beginning of the new academic year, the Governor expressed the hope that Maharashtra would set for the nation the example of the model implementation of the National Education Policy.
Principal Secretary Higher and Technical Education Vikas Chandra Rastogi presented a review of the implementation of the National Education Policy in the State and the progress made in respect of the 18 identified Key Result Areas. Principal Secretary Agriculture Eknath Dawale and Commissioner of Medical Education Rajeev Nivatkar were also present.
Vice Chancellors / Acting Vice Chancellors of University of Mumbai, SNDT Women’s University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Shivaji University, Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapith, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University and Dr Homi Bhabha State University were present.
