– Sessions Judge Presided over by MS Kulkarni has granted anticipatory bail to Umesh Utkhede, Chandu Lade, Ghanshyam Nikhade, Vijay Junghare, Tushar Girhe, Vishal Badge and Gaurav Puri who were workers of Raj Thakare led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
Nagpur :- Umesh Utkhede, Chandu Lade, Ghanshyam Nikhade, Vijay Junghare, Tushar Girhe, Vishal Badge and Gaurav Puri were apprehending their arrest in Crime No. 730/2023, for the offence under Sections 353, 143, 341, 186, 506 of the Indian Penal Code, registered with P.S.Sadar, Nagpur.
The FIR was lodged on 22/11/2023, around 9.10 p.m.at the instance of official working in the Nagpur Improvement Trust, Nagpur (herein after ‘the NIT’ in short). It was alleged that the applicant/accused No.1, along with 40 to 50 followers formeddate within the precincts of the N.I.T., and without having anyprior leave from the Chairman of the N.I.T., tried to meet him.Then, when the Chairman left the place for his official work theapplicant/accused No.1 along with other members of unlawful assembly obstructed his official vehicle and tried to cause damageto the vehicle by knocking forcibly thereon. Even they gave slogans in the filthy language.
It was submitted that, applicants wree were peacefully making agitation against the N.I.T. pointing out irregularities in distributing the land on lease, road conditions in the city, action against the corrupt and negligent officials of the NIT; so only to avoid talks on this issue the false FIR came to be lodged.
There was no use of weapons and no injury was caused to the NIT Chairman. There was no assault at all and oral altercation was given twist so as to register FIR.
