Nagpur :- Vidarbha Industries Association organised an interaction meeting with Arne Jan Flolo, H.E. Consul General of Norway in Mumbai, today 25th April, 2023 at VIA Auditorium, Nagpur to explore the future developments for industries of our region on possible opportunities in Renewable Energy, Waste Water Management & Investment / Business Collaborations.
While interacting with industries, he stressed that Norway is a very small country and population wise equal to Nagpur District and we focused mainly on innovation and our strength is innovation, technology advancement, waste management, renewable energy sectors.
This is his second visit to Nagpur and meeting with industrial fraternity and we look for joint ventures and technical collaborations with the local business enterprises.
He is also taking feedback from those who work in different sectors to understand the potential available in the city. During the discussions, he stressed that the waste management, renewable energy sectors were selected for potential collaborations. The Consul General believes that Nagpur is the good climate and proximity to Mumbai and Pune, make the city favourable for businesses to flourish and for Norwegian investors too.
Tone Helena, Dy Consul General of Norway, Mumbai highlighted the emerging technologies and fuel of future hydrogen manufacturing potential in India. We are also focusing more on this region on the problem of agri-waste, which is being burnt in the open which can be converted into biogas. This generation of energy will help increase the agri income.
Rahul Maheshwari, Advisor of Business Promotion of Norwegian Consulate General, Mumbai invited Nagpur industrialists for B2B, C2C and we will have frequent meetings, communications and make arrangements for business delegation from Nagpur to Norway and vice-a-versa.
Girdhari Mantri, Chairman of VIA CSR Forum focused on the new Government Laws and Acts formulated for circular economy and waste management.
Earlier, Pratik Tapadia, Jt Secretary – VIA made an opening remark and briefed about the purpose of their visit to Nagpur. Gaurav Sarda, Vice President – VIA in his welcome address introduced the representatives from various sectors and highlighted the opportunities for possible collaborations with Norway industries. Vaibhav Agrawal welcomed Arne Jan Flolo; CA Nitin Agrawal welcomed Tone Helena and Paramveer Sancheti welcomed Rahul Maheshwari with floral bouquets. Dushyant Pathak, Elkem proposed a formal vote of thanks.
