Nagpur :-A comprehensive Safety Seminar was conducted at Majri Station under the guidance of the Additional Divisional Safety Officer (ADSO), Nagpur Division. The seminar focused on critical safety aspects and aimed to enhance the operational awareness and practices among railway staff.
*The seminar covered the following key topics:*
*Prevention of SPAD (Signal Passing at Danger):* Highlighting the importance of alertness and compliance with operational protocols.
*Precautions and Rules for Shunting and Load Stabling:* Ensuring the safety of rolling stock and personnel during yard operations.
*Worksite Protection with DCM/RCM:* Emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety protocols for track and maintenance work.
The seminar was conducted with the assistance of Narendra Waghmare, Safety Counsellor (S&T); Umesh Gawande, Traffic Inspector-Safety; H. S. Sagariya, Traffic Inspector/Warora; and Shyam Shende, Chief Loco Inspector (CLI), Majri.
A total of 31 staff members, including Loco Pilots (LP), Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), Train Managers (TM), Deputy Station Masters (DySM), and Pointsmen, actively participated in the session.
The seminar emphasized the significance of strict adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents, improve operational efficiency, and safeguard human lives. Practical demonstrations and interactive discussions were also held to ensure better understanding and implementation of the safety measures discussed.
