Nagpur :-In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Nagpur successfully retrieved and returned a passenger’s lost bag as part of their ongoing initiative, Operation Amanat.
On 14th December 2024, at around 09:00 hours, RPF Nagpur received a message regarding a black backpack bearing the brand name “BANGE,” left behind by a passenger on Train No. 12949, Coach S/6, Berth No. 56. Upon the train’s arrival, Constable Harendra Kumar promptly located and secured the bag, bringing it to the RPF Post for safekeeping.
The following day, the rightful owner of the bag visited the RPF Post and identified the lost item. The bag, valued at approximately ₹1,200, contained personal belongings, including cash, spectacles, a mobile charger, a belt, and important documents such as a debit card, PAN card, and Aadhaar card. The total value of the items was assessed at ₹9,100.
After thorough verification and in the presence of two independent witnesses, the bag and its contents were returned to the passenger in good condition. The passenger expressed heartfelt gratitude to the RPF team for their prompt and efficient action.
