Nagpur :-Rosary Parish Choir (belonging to Rosary Parish Church, Seminary Hills) put up an exceptional performance at this year’s carol singing competitions in Nagpur, bagging the first place in all the five major competitions in the city. The five glittering trophies this year are from a variety of inter-denominational Christian institutions Evangelical Lutheran Church (Dec 04), YWCA Nagpur (Dec 07),St. Thomas Church (Dec 11) Methodist Church, Civil Lines (Dec 13) and St. Charles Seminary (Dec 17).
The choir, comprising of Ashish John, Jijo Felix, Fijo Felix, Sunny Gaigole, Prabhat Singh, Stivin Rakshe,Albert Francis, Alson Pais, Ornald Anthony,Rohit Bhosle, Sheryl Anthony, Ancy Cyril,Gloria More and Riya Jacob enthralled both judges and audiences alike with their soulful and lively rendition of ‘Woh Aaya Hai’, a Hindi carol blending a variety of Indian musical styles,composed and written by Ashish John,the choir master. The choir’s undefeated run this year was atestament to the guidance and support of the parish clergy, as well as to the talent, dedication, and creativity of the choir members – all of which have kept Rosary Parish Choir flying high over the years.
