Nagpur :-The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Nagpur Division, Central Railway, has reaffirmed its dedication to passenger safety and security under the “Operation Amanat” initiative by recovering and returning lost belongings worth approximately ₹1.58 lakh over the past week. These efforts highlight the RPF’s proactive approach in creating a secure and passenger-friendly railway environment.
At Wardha Railway Station, the RPF recovered a woman’s purse containing a mobile phone and ₹1500 in cash, as well as a laptop bag left behind on a train, containing an HP laptop valued at ₹1,00,000. Both items were promptly identified and returned to their rightful owners after thorough verification, earning heartfelt appreciation from the passengers.
At Nagpur Railway Station, two significant recoveries were made: a red handbag containing a Dell laptop worth ₹35,000 and a black bag holding valuables, including a Samsung tablet, cash, and credit cards, totaling ₹17,500. These items were swiftly secured and handed over to the passengers following proper identification procedures.
Additionally, at Betul Station, RPF personnel recovered a tourist bag containing personal belongings worth ₹5,000, which had been misplaced by a passenger traveling on the Gorakhpur Express. The bag was returned with all its contents intact, further showcasing the vigilance and efficiency of the RPF team.
These recoveries not only demonstrate the RPF’s unwavering commitment to passenger service but also underline the operational success of “Operation Amanat” in instilling confidence and trust among railway users.
