Mumbai :-Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais witnessed the live interaction by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with students – ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ from Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Monday.
Students, parents and teachers of G D Somani School, Gopi Birla Memorial School and Anjuman I Islam’s Saif Tyabji Girls’ High School were present to witness the programme from Raj Bhavan.
Interacting with students, Governor Ramesh Bais called upon teachers and parents to make education a pleasurable experience for students. He called for reducing disparities in the schools in rural and urban areas and creating a level playing field for the students.
The Governor expressed the need to reduce the burden of homework on children and make the education activity- based. He suggested giving the children a recess of 15 minutes after every lecture of 45 minutes.
The public airing of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ was organised in association with the School Education Department of Government of Maharashtra and BMC.
