Nagpur :- A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on 18 May 2024 between the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Nagpur and five hospitals for providing cashless service to the veterans in remote Districts. These hospitals are Bahekar Super Speciality Hospital in Gondia District, Navjivan Hospital, Zenith Critical Care Hospital, VYWS Dental Hospital at Amravati and Lahole Netra Hospital in Akola.
Veterans in remote areas often struggle to reach qualified healthcare providers. The wellbeing of veterans deserves utmost priority. A pressing concern, especially in remote areas, is ensuring the veterans receive timely and adequate medical care. These hospitals offer a range of clinical, diagnostic and lab services which would mitigate the sufferings of the ESM. The veterans would need to take referral from the Polyclinic of these districtss to avail the services.
This collaboration marks a significant stride towards ensuring access to quality healthcare for veterans residing in these districts. The MoA reflects the hospital’s deep-seated commitment to honouring veterans’ service and well-being and underscores the nation’s obligation to care for its defenders.
