Panaji :- Proper training plays an important role in the success of athletes. We arrange training for the players in the country and abroad so that they can get it. Similarly, plans such as Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) are also being implemented.Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhad asserted that our aim is to build sports complexes in villages and create sports culture. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 37th National Games held at the Shyam Prasad Mukherjee Stadium auditorium.
“National sports events are the Olympic sports events of the country. With the slogan ‘Judenge, Jitenge, Jitesange’, Goa successfully organized the national sports games.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already announced that India is capable of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games. Dhankhad said in his speech, “We have assured that we will play the host role well from the tournament in Goa.”
“We made a third reservation. But today it is two-thirds of the awardees. “This year’s national sports games also included traditional sports of the country like Gatka, Lagori, Pinchak Silyat, Kalaripayattu.In the future, these sports will have a chance to get a place in the Olympics,” said Dhankhad.
*Maharashtra praised by Goa Chief Minister*
761 athletes came from Maharashtra for the national sports games. Haryana’s players were more than them. But still Maharashtra got the top position, said Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
“We worked hard for a year to organize the national sports games. Some people asked, why this organization?We achieved a successful Shivadhanush of the competition. On this occasion, the infrastructure was built, which will be used by the athletes of Goa,” said Sawant. Sawant also expressed the hope that 100 sports should be included in the national sports competition to be held in Uttarakhand.
Goa’s dream is coming true on the occasion of National Sports Tournament.
