– CM reviews Coastal Road and concretization work at Worli and Dadar
Mumbai :- Chief minister Eknath Shinde today said that a world-class park would be developed on 320 acres of land at an area around Coastal Road which is Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road. Along with coastal road the chief minister today reviewed cement road works being carried out at Dadar and Worli and directed BMC and other authorities to complete this work before the advent of Monsoon.
Chief minister Shinde travelled from Worli to Marine Drive to review the Mumbai Coastal Road work and after visiting the ongoing work, he gave a few directions to the officials. Mumbai city district guardian minister Deepak Kesarkar, Mumbai suburban district guardian minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, BMC commissioner and administrator I S Chahal, additional commissioner Dr Sudhakar Shinde were present.
The coastal road is being built by the BMC is going with speed and a massive Central Park would be created on 320 acres of land on this coastal road with plantation of a variety of trees on 200 acres of land. Chief minister Shinde told media persons that this coastal road would be opened for service of people soon and this park would be a world-class park.
Chief minister Shinde after the coastal road visit reviewed cement road work and concretization work at Ganpatrao Kadam Road, Seth Motilal Sanghi Road near Nehru Science Centre at Worli and Dadasaheb Rege road at Dadar. He interacted with local residents and directed the officials to ensure that while taking due precaution about quality work, it needs to be also ensured that local people should not be inconvenienced while carrying out the work. Chief minister Shinde while speaking to media persons said that the soak pits have been included in this concretization work so that water can be soaked in these pits during the Monsoon days which makes this work environment-friendly.
