Nagpur :- In commemoration of the historic military victory over Pakistan in the 1971 War, VIJAY RUN was organised under the aegis of HQ UM&G Sub Area on 16 December 2023 at Kamptee Military Station. Based on the theme Run for Soldier – Run with Soldier.
This mega event was aimed at strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and the masses, especially the Youth, while paying homage to our Brave hearts.
The run was flagged off by Brig K Anand, Commandant GUARDS Regiment Centre in sync with the run being organised across various cantonments and military centres in the Indian Armys Southern Command. The event, consisting of three categories namely 5 km, 6 km and 12.5 km run, witnessed participation by approximately 2300 civilians including school children, NCC Cadets and serving soldiers & their families of Kamptee Military Station. 
The participants showcased josh and enthusiasm during the run marking the successful conduct of the event. On culmination the top three participants in each category were given prizes.
