Aurangabad, :- ‘Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (Foundation) has contributed a lot for Maharashtra and all their ventures including tree plantation, and that related to the field of health and cleanliness campaigns are really commendable and beneficial for the welfare of the society. The Legacy of social welfare is being carried forward by this Foundation and this is in fact a matter of pride for the state’, said chief minister Eknath Shinde, here today.
He was speaking in a program organized during the cleanliness campaign in Aurangabad city and its vicinity by the Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan. Union Minister of state Dr Bhagwat Karad, Guardian minister Sandipan Bhumare, agriculture minister Abdul Sattar, MLA Sanjay Shirsat, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, Sachin Dharmadhikari, Rahul Dharmadhikari and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking further, chief minister Eknath Shinde said that the social work being carried ahead by Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan encourages the society for carrying out positive activities. He said the Dharmadhikari family has inculcated among the people of the nation the thought ‘Not to think what the nation has given me, but what I have given to the nation.’ He said that today the revolution for cleanliness has been started in the state and the metropolis, cities, villages and hamlets are getting inspired out of it. He said that participation of citizens in large number in the cleanliness campaign is giving a fillip to thousands and thousands of other citizens to carry on the Crusade ahead and Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari’s thoughts are enlightening them in this positive direction,he added.
The chief minister also said that the government is striving hard and leaving no stone unturned for the overall development of the state and the people are supporting the government with ‘Happy and enlightened’ faces. He said that the feeling that ‘This is our government’ is very important. He asked the people to come together and work for the welfare of common people. Notably, 74 thousand volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive undertaken by the Pratishthan and 748 tons of garbage was gathered. Stating that this venture has further assisted in cleaning the city, the chief minister congratulated all those who participated in the drive.
