Nagpur :- Organised by VED Council and Chitnavis Centre, Ashok Lavasa IAS (retd.) would be delivering a talk on, “Third World to Third Largest” – Prospects & Challenges for India on Saturday, 2nd March at 6.30 pm. at Mimosa Hall, Chitnavis Centre.
A career spanning 45 years, Ashok Lavasa has occupied a key constitutional position as Election Commissioner of India, and has served in prestigious assignments as Vice President, Asian Development Bank, Union Finance & Expenditure Secretary, Secretary, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Secretary Civil Aviation in Government of India (GOI). He was also Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary in Ministry of Power, Ministry of Home and Ministry of Finance in the Department of Economic Affairs in GOI. He is a prolific writer having authored two books, is very widely traveled and deeply interested in photography, river rafting, trekking, cricket, tennis, music and reading.
