Chief Minister reviews crop damage
Nashik :- Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Bijote, Aakhatwade and Nitane villages in Baglan Taluka of Nashik district and reviewed the crop damage due to unseasonal rains coupled with stormy winds and hailstorm. Interacting with local farmers he reviewed the crop damage and directed concerned officials to immediately conduct Panchanamas and submit reports to the state Government. Consoling the farmers, he assured them that the state Government would back farmers and would soon take decisions about the compensation to them during the Cabinet meeting.
Karanjaad, Bhuyane, Nitane, Aakhatwade, Bijote, Gorane, Anandpur, Dyane, Utarane from Mosam and Karanjaadi valley in Baglan Taluka along with Satana, Shemali, Ajmor, Soundane, Chougav, Karrhe, Brahmangaon, Lakhmapur, Aarai, Dhandri villages on Saturday April 8th, 2023 received unseasonal rains coupled with stormy winds, hail storm with lightning resulting in crop damage to summer onion, wheat, mangoes and various vegetable crops. The chief minister visited villages like Bijote, Aakhatwade, Nitane to review the crop damage. Nashik Guardian minister Dadaji Bhuse, Baglan MLA Dilip Borase, district collector D. Gangatharan, Malegaon additional collector Maya Patole, Baglan officials Baban Kakade, Jitendra Ingale, BDO P S Kolhe, superintendent agriculture officer Vivek Sonawane, Nitan Sarpanch Ashok Devre were present.
Chief minister Shinde asked the farmers who have received crop damage to ensure that Panchanamas are duly registered with the help of concerned officials including Talathis, Gram Sewaks, agricultural assistants. He also reviewed crop damage of Onion, Pomegranate, Papaya and other crops at Nitane, Aakhatwadi and Bijote.
