– 23 Prosecutions and Significant Seizures in Two Days
Nagpur :- The Nagpur Division of Central Railway has intensified its crackdown on unauthorized vending as part of its commitment to enhancing passenger safety and ensuring regulatory compliance. Over the past two days, a coordinated special drive involving seven dedicated teams has led to significant enforcement actions across stations and sections.
Key Highlights of the Drive
Nagpur Railway Station: 12 unauthorized vendors were apprehended and prosecuted.
Nagpur-Wardha and Nagpur-Etarsi Sections: 5 unauthorized vendors were prosecuted.
Nagpur-Sewagram-Balharshah Section: Seizure of 10 boxes of unapproved Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) bottles.
Ballarshah (BPQ) Station:2 unauthorized vendors were prosecuted.
Detection and offloading of 7 unbooked heavy equipment items belonging to Ambuj Caterers’ cluster kitchen, transported in the pantry car of Train No. 12724.
Total Actions Taken
23 unauthorized vendors prosecuted.
10 boxes of unapproved PDW seized.
7 unbooked heavy equipment items detected and offloaded.

The Nagpur Division is committed to maintaining high hygiene standards and eliminating unauthorized activities. The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) Aman Mittal of Nagpur Division, Central Railway, urges passengers to be vigilant about their food and drink choices during travel.
He emphasizes purchasing food only from authorized vendors at the correct Maximum Retail Price (MRP) to avoid overcharging. Passengers are also advised to buy only authorized drinking water for their safety and hygiene. This initiative is designed to protect passengers from substandard or overpriced products and ensure their overall well-being during their journey.
