Nagpur :-A comprehensive Awareness-cum-Training Programme on Safety in 25 KV Overhead Equipment (OHE) Operations was successfully conducted at Electric Loco Shed, Ajni by the dedicated team of engineers. Around 50 engineers and staff actively participated in this vital safety initiative aimed at enhancing railway operational safety.
The session focused on crucial safety protocols required for maintenance work, including clearance and isolation procedures. Live demonstrations on the operation of 25 KV isolators were carried out to ensure safe working practices on locomotive roofs. Participants received hands-on training on the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety harnesses, insulated tools, and inspection procedures.
The program emphasized the identification of suitable isolators, proper sequencing of operations, and ensuring confirmation post-operation to eliminate potential hazards. Special guidance was provided on precautionary measures for working at heights to prevent workplace accidents.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from officers, supervisors, and staff, reflecting their dedication to operational safety. The training was conducted in the esteemed presence of Shri Anant Sadashiva, Chief Electrical Loco Engineer, Central Railway, Mumbai, and Shri Vijay Gautam, Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer, Electric Loco Shed, Ajni.
