Nagpur :-National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited (DRL) to promote health awareness among employees of Ordnance Factories. This collaboration, under the umbrella of Dr. Reddy’s Foundation for Health Education (DRFHE), aims to spread awareness about various diseases, their prevention, and the lifestyle changes necessary for maintaining good health.
The initiative, known as “Awareness for Life” (AFL), is designed to create awareness on physical wellness among corporate employees. DRFHE will provide medical experts to educate employees on various health conditions as per the health calendar of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, Government of India. These sessions will be complimentary for the corporate partner and its employees, with DRFHE bearing all expenses.
Monthly wellness sessions will be conducted, featuring expert doctors who will speak on various health topics. These sessions will include information sharing, Q&A, and interactive discussions.
Dr. JP Dash, Chief General Manager of NADP, expressed pride in this collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is a significant step towards promoting health and wellness among our defence sector employees. This initiative aligns with our commitment to building a Viksit Bharat through partnership and collaboration.”
The MoU outlines the roles and responsibilities of both parties, ensuring smooth execution and maximum benefit for the participants. NADP will provide necessary arrangements for the wellness sessions, including suitable venues and technical support.
NADP will be conducting the first session on Kidney Health with a renowned Nephrologist, Dr. Jitesh Jeswani, MBBS, MD (Medicine), DM (Nephro), Fellowship in Adult Renal Transplant (UK), currently working as Consultant Nephrologist and Director atNephron Kidney Hospital and Ashwini kidney and Dialysis Centre, Nagpur.
As NADP and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories embark on this journey, they aim to create a healthier workforce and contribute to the overall well-being of the nation. This collaboration is a testament to their dedication to fostering a culture of health and wellness in the defense sector.
