– Now Mahagenco’s Total Solar installed capacity is 428 MW
Mumbai :- Mahagenco has undertaken the construction of a Solar power project with a total capacity of 70 MW at Shivajinagar, Sakri Taluka in Dhule District which include, Sakri-1 (25 MW), Sakri-2 (25 MW) and Sakri-3 (20 MW). Out of these, the construction of a 25 MW Solar power plant at Sakri-1 was carried out by M/s Godrej & Boyce, a EPC developer. (on Engineering Procurement and Construction basis) with crystalline solar panels. The capacity utilization factor (CUF) of this project is 20.59 percent and the annual power generation is expected to be 45.09 million units.
Sakri-1 was commissioned on 21st August and connected to 220/33 KV Shivajinagar Sakri sub station successfully. This project has provided employment to 50 people. Now the total Solar power installed capacity of Mahagenco has reached 428 MW.
Features of Sakri-1 Solar Project:
52 hectares of land has been acquired for this project and the project cost is 93.12 crores.The power generated from this project will be sold in the Open market.
“Sakri” Mahagenco’s Solar Hub
A 125 MW solar power project of Mahagenco at Sakri has been operational for the last ten years. After the completion of Sakri-1,2 & 3 solar projects, this solar project with an total installed capacity of about 195 MW at one place will make Sakri known as the “Solar hub” of Mahagenco.
Mahagenco in Power Trading Sector
From July 2024, Mahagenco has entered into an agreement with SEZ Biotech Services Private Limited, Pune for distribution of 15 MW of Solar power.
Solar Power Project in Progress
Development of 25 MW Solar power plant at Sakri-1 by M/s Godrej & Boyce Company, Sakri-2 is a 25 MW Solar power project by Tata Power Solar System, Sakri-3, a 20 MW installed capacity solar power project by M/s Swarayu Power. Both the projects are expected to be operational soon.
Energy Minister Congratulated Mahagenco
The Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister of the State Devendra Fadnavis congratulated officers and employees of the Mahagenco for successfully commissioning of 25MW Solar project.
Dr.P.Anbalgan, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahagenco has congratulated the Director (Projects) Abhay Harne and (Renewable Energy Projects and Planning) Team as well as the officers and engineers of Godrej & Boyce.
