Nagpur :-The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with traditional fervor and gusto at Bhonsala Military School and Bhonsala Sainik School, Nagpur on 15th August 2024. All the Cadets, the Staff and a large number of parents were present during the occasion. Col Baljit Singh, Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub Area, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The Celebrations commenced with an impressive ‘Guard of Honour’ being presented to the Chief Guest by an armed contingent of cadets, led by young Cadet Advait Hatkar of Class X. The same was followed by inspection of the Special Guard by the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest then hoisted the National flag. The ‘Samman Guard’ presented the Rashtriya Salute, followed by the National Anthem.
On this occasion, a glittering ‘Investiture Ceremony was conducted. The selected cadets were given various appointments for the year 2024-25 during the Investiture Ceremony. The prominent appointments like Agreem Koparekar as School Cadet Captain’, Vaibhav Harne as ‘School Cadet Vice Captain’ and Ashutosh Khaira as ‘School Cadet Adjutant’ and other appointments received their ranks and batons from the Chief Guest and school authorities.
During the ceremony, ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ were presented to the respective class toppers of the academic year 2023-24. The parents present on the occasion enthusiastically cheered their wards and encouraged them.
Speaking on the occasion, Cadet Parth Chatterjee of Class XII, enlightened the audience about the significance of celebrating the Independence Day.
Col Baljit Singh, the Chief Guest, in his speech exonerated the students to excel, in whatever field they choose as career, and give their 100% by dedication, hard work and appropriate time management. He amplified that success comes only after hard work in the right direction, which can be provided by the teachers. He asked the audience to always remain grateful to our forefathers who made supreme sacrifice for independence of our motherland. The Chief Guest congratulated the staff for standard of training imparted to the students. He further complimented the School Management for creating a State-of-the-Art infrastructure and sports facilities.
Cadet Azan Beig, as the ‘Master of Ceremony’, conducted the proceedings in lawless manner. Prashant Shastrakar, a school teacher, proposed the ‘Vote of Thanks!. Rahul Dixit, Secretary, Central Hindu Military Education Society, Nagpur,
