Mumbai : Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari congratulated Savita Kanswal, ace Mountaineer for successfully conquering the world’s two highest peaks – Mt. Everest and the fifth highest peak Mount Makalu. Savita Kanswal, 25, hails from village Lothru in Uttarkanshi district of Uttarakhand.
Savita Kanswal climbed Mt Everest on 12th May and reached Mt Makalu on 28th May thereby becoming the first Indian woman to conquer two of the most challenging mountains within a span of 16 days. Savita met Governor Koshyari at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Monday where she apprised him of his achievements.
