Mumbai :- Chief minister Eknath Shinde signed Memorandum of understanding about industrial investment in the State during the first day of Davos World Economic Forum Summit. The delegations from various countries called on Chief Minister Shri Shinde and discussed opportunities of investment in the State.
The Commerce Minister of UAE Abdullah Bin Tauk and Lulu Hypermarket Executive Director M A Yusuf Ali met Chief Minister Shri Shinde on opening day of the summit. During the discussions with these two, thrust was given on increasing long-term ties in the field of investment opportunities in Maharashtra.
The International Operations Executive and Vice-President of Schindler Electric Manish Pant also had a meeting with the Chief Minister. The delegation discussed strengthening corporate ties along with an interaction on investment in Maharashtra.
The MoU worth investment of Rs. 600 crores ($73M), was signed with Belgium based multinational AB InBev brewer company in presence of Chief Minister Shri Shinde. With this MoU thrust would be given to increase production in Maharashtra to meet the demands by consumers and it would lead to generation of hundreds of jobs in Maharashtra.
Oman industries Minister H E Kair discussed investment opportunities in detail. During these discussions, deliberations were also held on how Maharashtra can cooperate for Vision 2040 which is digital transformation of Oman in addition to various other subjects.
Chief Minister Shinde visited the India Business Hub of CII at Davos. Chief minister Shinde expressed the feeling of pride since Indian Tri-colour is flying high with glory at Davos World Economic Forum summit.
