– Maha Metro Awarded for Utilization of 5D BIM Technology,14th CIDC Vishwakarma Awards-2023 Held at Delhi
NAGPUR: Maha Metro MD Dr Brijesh Dixit was felicitated with Vishwakarma Best Officer Award at an event held in New Delhi today. The award was given by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), which is part of NITI Aayog. The award was presented on the last of the 14th 3-day conference of the CIDC.
The award was presented by PS Rana, Chairman, CIDC. Maha Metro Director (Rolling Stock, System and Operation) Sunil Mathur was felicitated as Vishwakarma Best Officer Award-2023. As an organization, Maha Metro was also honoured for adopting and optimum use of 5D BIM Technology.
Various organizations of the country participated in the three-day council. The first phase of Nagpur Metro was dedicated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on December 11, 2022. The bhoomipujan for second phase was also dome simultaneously. Unique and innovative works have been executed under the leadership of Dr Brijesh Dixit.
Construction of multi-level transport system including four-layer structure at Gaddigodam on Orange Line and three-layer on Wardha Road of Nagpur Metro are unique structures in themself. Nagpur Metro Project has bagged Guinness World Records and Asia Book of Records for its outstanding achievements.
MD Dr Dixit has bagged many awards till this date including – Award of Excellence in the category of ‘Metro Rail with the Best Multimodal Integration in Urban Mobility of India Conference 2021, Construction World Person of Year 2020 by Foundation of Infrastructure Research Studies Training (FIRST) Construction Council, Engineers’ Forum’s Special Lifetime Achievement Award.
