Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Inaugurates 75 virtual Classrooms Created by ITIs

– Committed to make skilled, employment-rich Maharashtra

Mumbai :- Virtual classrooms will now be started in all the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of the state as a part of the Skill India and Digital initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the Government is committed to make skilled and employment-rich Maharashtra.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated 75 Virtual Class Rooms / Smart Class Rooms created in Industrial Training Institutes on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav Year of Independence through the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Maharashtra State at Sahyadri State Guest House.

Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Additional Chief Secretary Ashish Kumar Singh, Commissioner Dr. Ramaswamy, Director of Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Digambar Dalvi were present on this occasion.  While 75 ITI trainees along with public representatives participated virtually in the programme at various ITIs of the state.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, the trainees in the Industrial Training Institutes of the state are undergoing various types of skill training.  The Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation is striving to provide the world’s most advanced skill development training to the aspiring trainees in the most remote areas even with less resources.

In the first phase, 75 virtual classrooms have been inaugurated in the state and a total of 90 classrooms have been created in the state. Interactive panels, computer services, and better seating arrangements have been arranged in the virtual classrooms.

ITIs have now introduced competitive courses instead of imparting traditional education.  Besides making the youth skilled, priority is given to create industries.  Rather than creating employment for the youth, the government is trying to create employment-providing hands.   

The state government is committed  to provide 75 thousand jobs in a year and has taken a historic programme of giving direct appointment letters.  A majority of posts has been created.  600 MoUs were signed to bring industries to the state.  Three lakh jobs have been provided.  Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that Skill Development Department is going to make a big contribution in development of the country.

The state ranks first in industry.  Employment will be available only if industries come.  It is the responsibility of the government to provide employment to the youth.  For this, the government is trying to increase foreign investment.  1.37 thousand MoUs were signed during Davos Industrial Conference.  Huge investments were brought into the state.  We have provided good facilities for industries.  Also, skilled manpower is available. Seeing the need of the hour, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that various initiatives are being implemented to provide the world’s developed skills to the trainees.
