Panaji :- Maharashtra’s Komal Jagdale won a silver medal in the 3000 meters steeplechase race on the final day of the athletics event at the National Games on Friday. Similarly, Maharashtra got a bronze medal in the 4 by 400 meters mixed relay event.
Komal covered the distance in 10 minutes 21.66 seconds at the GMC Athletics Stadium in Bambolim. Haryana’s Preeti Lamba won the gold medal. It took her 10 minutes, 19.78 seconds to complete the distance.
The Maharashtra team consisting of Rohan Kamble, Yamuna Ladkat, Rahul Kadam and Anushka Kumbhar completed the race in 3 minutes 23.20 seconds in the four by 400 meters mixed relay event.
