Mumbai :- The First Development Working Group meeting of G20 countries took off to a flying start in Mumbai with the hosting of a grand reception and delegates’ evening at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai on Tue (13 Dec).
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sherpa of G20 group meetings Amitabh Kant, former MP Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, delegates from G20 countries, captains of industry, diplomats and senior government officials were present.
A Cultural Programme ‘Glimpses of India’ offering glimpses of various arts of India and the ‘Festivals of Maharashtra’ were presented. The Festivals of Maharashtra offered glimpses of Maharashtrian traditions with various art forms like Koli, Lavani, Gondhal, etc. The meeting concluded with a scintillating traditional band performance at the Gateway of India.
All the major roads in Mumbai leading to the venue of the G-20 Group meeting were lit up with colorful decorations.
