Nagpur :-To bring in the season of Yuletide in the Waldorf way, the Nagpur Waldorf Inspired School (NWIS) held a Winter Carnival at the School on Ring Road, Near Katol Road on 23rd December, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Students and Parents of NWIS and many other visitors from the city enjoyed at the various stalls and tried their hand at Pottery, Charkha, Takli, Grinding Stone, Pony ride which proved star attractions and the little ones with Parents and relatives, enjoyed to the hilt. Nisha Saraf, CDS Group Director and Sanket Saraf, Founding Director of NWIS welcomed the Chief Guest, Vikash Khurana, who shared his joy saying that Waldorf education is the need of the present times and congratulated the Directors for bringing this concept at NWIS. The Story through puppetry and the Advent Spiral, captured the attention of the Chief Guest as also the guests and visitors alike. Stalls of eatables and artistic ‘gift items’ was also put up by Parents. Those who visited for the first time wanted to know more about the futuristic system of Education.
The Waldorf games were enjoyed by children and parents alike. The aura during the evening spent at NWIS was of learning and being mindful about how children. needed to grow. Sanket Saraf reiterated Rudolf Steiners quote “At Waldorf, we are trained to Receive the Child in Reverence, to Educate them in Love and to Send them forth into the world in Freedom.” He added “Age appropriate cognitive development of the children makes them future ready while keeping the joy of learning intact.” Dr Shanoor Mirza, Principal NWIS said “The event was a resounding success and a signal to more acceptance of the Waldorf way of education for children today.”
