The CDS boys lift the Cup in Style

Nagpur :- “4th Inter School Futsal Tournament 2023 for (U-16 boys) was organised by The Chanda Devi Saraf School, (Katol Road) on 27th October,2023 which was played on the school’s synthetic Futsal court. The Tournament was kicked off by Ex Principal of The Chanda Devi Saraf School, Mr. Kenneth Mendonca. The chief Guest was Dr. Indarjeet Singh Randhawa (former INDIAN player Handball) Sports Officer in Raisoni Group of Institutions.

During the tournament a promotional match was played for the Under – 14 boys between Blue Star Convent and The Chanda Devi Saraf School. Participating Teams – Tip Top Convent, Mount Litera Zee School (Besa), St. Xavier’s High School (MIDC) and The Chanda Devi Saraf School. Final Match was played between The CDS School and Tip Top Convent. Master Swarnit & Yash scored 1 goal each for Tip Top Convent and Master Ayush Shahu & Amay Gajghate scored 4 and 3 goals.

The CDS School won the match by 10-02. In his address to the young budding players, Dr. Randhawa emphasized that players should work hard and prepare themselves mentally before a game to give their best.

The Guest of Honor was Nisha N. Saraf (Director – The CDS School). Nisha Saraf enlightened the players by stating that games are important for the overall growth and one should play with the right sportsman spirit. Bharti Malviya (Principal- The CDS School) was also present.

The trophies and medals were presented by the dignitaries. Participation certificates were given to participating teams. Amay Gajghate was awarded the best player award as he scored a total of 7 goals in the Tournament. The School Management congratulated the School Sports Coordinator, Percy Amroliwalla and the School Coach, Ashish Gatlewar along with the helping coaches / staff and student volunteers in making this event a huge success.
