– Budget to be Presented on March 10
Mumbai :- The Budget Session of the Maharashtra State Legislature will be held in Mumbai from Monday, March 3, to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The state’s annual budget will be presented in both houses of the legislature on March 10.
A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council was held on Sunday at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai, to discuss the proceedings of the session.
The meeting was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Legislative Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narwekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, Ministers Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, Shambhuraj Desai, MLAs Pravin Darekar, Prasad Lad,Adv. Anil Parab, Hemant Patil, Shrikant Bharatiya, Chhagan Bhujbal, Jitendra Awhad, Dr. Nitin Raut, Randhir Savarkar, Amin Patel, Legislature Secretary (1) Jitendra Bhole, Secretary (2) Vilas Athawale, along with officials from relevant departments. Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe participated via video conferencing.
During the budget session, legislative proceedings will continue on March 8, 2025 (Saturday), despite it being a public holiday. However, a holiday will be observed on March 13, 2025, in observance of Holi, as decided in the meeting.
