Review of the constituency wise status of development works by MAHA CM

Complete Ongoing MAHA Development Projects in ‘mission mode’- Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai :- Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde issued instructions to secretaries across state government departments to complete ongoing and proposed development works in the state on ‘Mission Mode’ so common citizens benefit from it sooner rather than later.

Members of Parliament Gajanan Kirtikar, Gopal Shetty, MLAs Amit Satam, Sanjay Gaikwad also participated in the review meeting of various development works in their respective constituencies held at the Sahyadri state government guest house here today.

Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant along with Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that administrative bodies must work on a war footing to complete pending development works of roads, parks, irrigation projects, winding roads, flyovers that are ongoing in the constituencies of people’s representatives in a time bound manner. “The common citizen should be able to directly enjoy the benefit of these development works as soon as possible,” Shri Shinde said while issuing the instructions for speeding up necessary processes to ensure the quick completion of pending works.

MPs  Gajanan Kirtikar and Gopal Shetty also raised a demand for lifting of the moratorium on the transfer of sports and recreation grounds in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation area to private players for maintenance basis. The issue was discussed in detail at the review meeting following which Shinde directed the BMC Commissioner (administrator) to prepare a policy in this regard. Discussions were also held regarding the desilting of the bay along the Versova Andheri coastline and the construction of a new fishing jetty at the place.

A discussion was also held regarding various issues faced in the Buldhana constituency represented by MLA Sanjay Gaikwad. About 43 thousand hectares of land is sought to be irrigated across the Bodwad area through the Upsa Irrigation Scheme to benefit farmers in the region. The Chief Minister sought an accelerated work schedule to achieve quick completion of the project and directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department in this regard.

A detailed discussion was organized on many other issues such as establishing an agricultural college near Buldhana city, establishing a new MIDC in Motala district, sanctioning a ring road to Buldhana city and constructing a flyover in the Botha sanctuary along the Buldhana-Khamgaon road and facilitating one-way traffic at Rajur ghat as well.
