Nagpur :- The National Railway Mazdoor Union (NRMU), under the inspiring leadership of General Secretary, NRMU CR/KR Comrade Venu P Nair, organised the “Jagrut Mumbaikar – Citizen’s Awareness Programme” to support the Mumbai Police initiative aimed at educating the public on essential safety and security measures. This program, held at Matunga HQ on October 29, 2024, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, was a part of NRMU’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community safety. The event saw the esteemed presence of NRMU President Comrade Kamakshi Bagalwadikar and Assistant General Secretary Comrade Vivek Nair reflecting the union’s dedication to safeguarding the community.
Highlighting the session, Woman Head Constable Padmavati Mathias delivered an insightful presentation that outlined various safety protocols with a focus on empowering women. Through an engaging PowerPoint presentation, she elaborated on the essential “dos and don’ts” to enhance personal and public safety, equipping attendees with practical measures to protect themselves and others in critical situations.
The programme concluded with guiding remarks and a heartfelt vote of thanks from NRMU President Comrade Kamakshi Bagalwadikar who expressed appreciation for the proactive role of the Mumbai Police and encouraged all attendees to carry forward the message of vigilance and responsibility.
This collaborative initiative between NRMU and Mumbai Police underscores a shared commitment to fostering a safe and secure environment for all citizens.
