Nagpur :- Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the Maharashtra Police Raising Day function organised by Maharashtra Police at the State Reserve Police Force Ground at Goregaon Mumbai on Tuesday (2 Jan).
Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Mumbai Commissioner of Police Vivek Phansalkar, senior police officers, retired police officers, police jawans and their family members were present.
Earlier the Governor inspected the Ceremonial Parade and accepted the salute presented by the marching columns of State Police.
The Maharashtra Police Foundation Day is celebrated on 2 January to commemorate the presentation of the State Police Flag by then Prime Minister of India Pt Jawaharlal Nehru to Maharashtra Police on 2 January 1961.
