Nagpur :- A special campaign is being implemented by ‘MSEDCL’ to provide electricity supply within just 24 to 48 hours to those applying for new electricity connections. The new campaign was powered up in two days. In this, ‘MSEDCL’ brightened the lives of 274 customers in 24 hours and 532 customers in 48 hours.
Under ‘Ease of Living’ from ‘MSEDCL’, a new electricity connection is being provided on demand to consumers in Nagpur Zone where necessary infrastructure facilities are available for the new electricity connection. New power connections are being made operational within 24 to 48 hours in urban and rural areas without any delay if possible. Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis and MSEDCL Chairman and Managing Director Lokesh Chandra, under the supervision of Suhas Rangari, Regional Director of MSEDCL Nagpur and under the leadership of Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke, in Nagpur Zone, under the concept of ‘Ease of Living’, electricity consumers are being provided urgent services. Director (Operations) Sanjay Taksande is regularly reviewing the availability of electricity meters and the drive to commission new connections. Where it is possible to provide a connection with load demand from an existing power system, a new connection is made within 24 to 48 hours on completion of required documents and payment of the amount.
58 thousand new additions from January
‘MSEDCL’ has accelerated the campaign to provide new electricity connections for the applicants immediately. 58 thousand 275 new electricity connections have been given in Nagpur Zone from January to August 28 this year. This includes 30 thousand 534 electricity connections in Nagpur Urban Circle, 16 thousand 807 in Nagpur rural circle and 10 thousand 934 in Wardha circle. Out of this, 6 thousand 910 new electricity connections are included in the month of August only, out of which 3 thousand 833 in Nagpur Urban Circle, 2 thousand 16 in Nagpur rural circle and 1 thousand 61 in Wardha circle. Taking advantage of the ‘Ease of Living’ of MSEDCL, MSEDCL has also appealed to consumers to cooperate by regularizing their electricity bills through the online method.
