Governor presides over Platinum Jubilee of People’s Education Society

Mumbai –  Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presided over the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations and Foundation Day of the People’s Education Society at Cawasji Jehangir Convocation Hall of the University of Mumbai. The Society was founded by Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on 8th July 1945.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, Member of Legislative Council Pravin Darekar, Principal of Siddharth College Dr U M Maske and organiser Chandrakhekhar Kamble were present. The Governor presented the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Awards to eminent personalities from the fields of education, social work and administrative service on the occasion.
President of Deekshabhumi Bhadant Nagarjun Arya Surai Sasai, President of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Dr Anil Patil, Chairman of Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha Amravati Harshvardhan Deshmukh, trustee of HSNC Board Kishu Mansukhani, IRS officer Sameer Wankhede were among those felicitated on the occasion.
