– Art education will make learning pleasurable, says Maharashtra Governor
Mumbai :- Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the ‘Vagdhara Kala Mahotsav’ organized by the ‘Vagdhara’ a cultural organisation working in the fields of literature, education, art, dance and culture at Andheri Mumbai on Sat (29 Jun).
The Governor presented the ‘Vagdhara Rashtra Seva Samman’ to renowned art and theatre director Jayant Deshmukh, script writer and filmmaker Rumi Jaffery, Principal of Children’s Welfare School Ajay Kaul, Educationist Prashant Kashid, actress Kanchan Awasthi, actor Ravi Yadav, ‘Jalayog’ promoter Dr Savita Rani and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Bais stressed the need to incorporate art education in the curriculum in schools and colleges. He felt that inclusion of art, fine art and performing art in education will make the learning pleasurable and help in making students stress free.
The Governor released the book ‘Narendra Modi Samvad’ authored by Dr Mustafa Yusuf Ali Gom and ‘Bhopal Ke Tappay’ written by Rumi Jaffery on the occasion.
