NAGPUR :- As part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Manish Agrawal of Nagpur Division, Central Railway, conducted a detailed inspection and review of ongoing development works at Katol, Narkher, and Pandhurna stations on November 9, 2024.
The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is an initiative aimed at transforming railway stations across India with modern infrastructure, improved passenger amenities, and sustainable development practices. Under this scheme, Katol, Narkher, and Pandhurna stations are undergoing significant upgrades, with a focus on enhancing passenger experience, station facilities, and operational efficiency.
During his visit, DRM Manish Agrawal evaluated multiple areas of work progress, including:
1. Platform Upgradation – Assessing the extension and modernization of platforms to improve passenger flow and safety.
2. Passenger Amenities – Reviewing the installation of modern facilities such as digital information boards, enhanced lighting, comfortable waiting areas, and upgraded restroom facilities.
3. Accessibility Improvements – Checking enhancements made for accessible station entry and exit points, tactile flooring, and other facilities for differently-abled passengers.
Manish Agrawal emphasized adherence to quality standards and timely completion of the projects. He encouraged the team to address any challenges promptly, ensuring that each initiative aligns with the vision of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
