– Mayuri Lute’s ‘Medal Round’*
New Delhi :- The Maharashtra women’s team won gold in the sprint event of truck cycling. This was the fourth medal on the account of Mayuri Lute in this team.
The quartet of Mayuri, Sushikala Agashe, Aditi Dongre and Sanja Kokate clocked a time of 52.807 seconds with a speed of 51.13 to clinch the title in the team sprint event of truck cycling held on the Verna-Birla Bypass Airport road at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, New Delhi. The Manipur team (50.06 with a speed of 53.930 seconds) won the silver medal while the Andaman and Nicobar team (49.41 with a speed of 54.644 seconds) got the bronze medal.
Mayuri now has four medals – two gold, one silver and one bronze – in this year’s National Games, and she has a chance to win her fifth medal on Sunday.
