“Bless the Common People with Happiness, Prosperity” – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s prayers
Mumbai :- Today on the occasion of Ganeshotsav, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde with his wife worshiped Shri Ganaraya at the Government residence ‘Varsha’. On this occasion, Chief Minister prayed Ganaraya for good rains and to give strength to our efforts for good days of happiness and prosperity in the lives of common people.
Like every year, this year too, Ganaraya was welcomed at ‘Varsha’, the official residence of Chief Minister. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his wife Lata Shinde, daughter-in-law Vrushali Shinde, grandson Rudransh worshipped and performed aarti of Shri Ganesha. 
On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Shinde wished the people of the state on Ganeshotsav. Today is a day of excitement and Vighnaharta Ganaraya has arrived everywhere. Last year, Ganeshotsav was celebrated without restrictions. This year too, Ganeshotsav is being celebrated with enthusiasm and joy. The Chief Minister also said that the public Ganesh Mandals which celebrate Ganeshotsav as per the rules should be given permission for a total of five years and the administration has been instructed not to charge for Mandap. It is a matter of relief for the Mandals.
The Chief Minister congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi as the Parliament would start working from new Parliament House from today. The name of India is shining all over the world and to further enhance that reputation Ganpati Bappa would bless Prime Minister Shri Modi with strength, the Chief Minister expressed his belief and welcomed the various public interest decisions taken by Prime Minister Modi. 
This is the Government of the farmers, the toilers. The farmers who suffered losses were supported by setting aside the rules. The aid amount was doubled, Rs. 6,000 assistance to farmers every year, crop insurance only for one rupee. Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister also assured that the Government will not leave the farmers in the lurch during the crisis and it would stand by them.
