Mumbai :- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed various ongoing infrastructure and development projects worth ₹1.41 lakh crore and proposed projects worth ₹25,000 crore under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology be used for drain cleaning operations undertaken by the BMC.
The review meeting at Vidhan Bhavan was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal, BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) Aseem Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Forest) Milind Mhaiskar, and Additional Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar.
BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani gave a detailed presentation on the current status of various projects.
Major BMC Projects Under Review
BMC is currently working on projects worth ₹1,41,356 crore in the sectors of infrastructure, water supply, sewage treatment, and healthcare.

700 km of cement concrete roads
Versova to Bhayander Coastal Road
Goregaon-Mulund Link Road
Bridges: Gokhale Bridge, Vikhroli Bridge, Carnac Bridge, Sion Bridge, Madh-Versova Bridge
Dahisar, Poinsur, Oshiwara River rejuvenation & Mithi River cleaning project
Sewage treatment projects in Versova, Malad, Bhandup, Ghatkopar, and major underground sewage tunnels
Redevelopment of KEM, Sion & Nair hospitals and construction of new hospitals
Parking and commercial centers at Dahisar Western Expressway octroi naka and Mankhurd

Desalination project, Mithi River Package 5
Panjarapol water purification project, Dahisar garden development
Mankhurd transport hub, Jijamata Udyan expansion, Mulund bird sanctuary

2,000-Vehicle Parking Facility to Be Set Up at Haji Ali – CM Fadnavis
With the completion of the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Coastal Road, the CM directed the establishment of a parking facility with a capacity of 2,000 vehicles at Haji Ali to ease traffic congestion.
Accelerate the completion of ongoing projects within deadlines.Finish the tendering process for proposed projects within a month.
Expedite the rehabilitation process for the Gargai water project.
Faster Road Work to Make Mumbai Pothole-Free – DCM Eknath Shinde
700 km of cement concrete roads are under construction.
